The BITEC Exhibition Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, hosted the comprehensive manufacturing technology event, Manufacturing Expo 2026 (ME2026), from June 17 to 20. Organized by RX BITEC, the four-day trade show featured seven specialized co-located exhibitions, including InterPlas, InterMold, Automotive Manufacturing, Surface & Coatings, NEPCON, ASSEMBLY & AUTOMATION, and FACTECH. In the "InterPlas Thailand 2026" section, which addresses plastic and rubber processing, Swiss temperature control specialist REGLOPLAS participated alongside its local partner ARESPLUS to present pressurized hot water Temperature Control Units (TCUs) as a solution for modern injection molding production.

The Necessity of Precision Thermal Control in Automated Plastics Processing
At the exhibition booth, Steve Kang (Kang Shin-guk), Business Development Manager Asia for Regloplas AG, discussed the shifting manufacturing environment in Southeast Asia, where companies face supply chain restructuring and strict carbon reduction demands. He noted that minimizing temperature deviation ($Delta T$) inside the mold cavity is critical to reducing defect rates in high-mix injection molding applications, such as automotive components, electronic packaging, and consumer goods. The featured REGLOPLAS P140S and REGLOPLAS P140SeMold units utilize a pressurized system design to overcome the physical limitations of water, which typically boils and turns into steam at 100°C. By increasing system pressure, these units maintain water in a stable liquid state at higher temperatures, ensuring efficient heat transfer to the mold. This technology addresses the residue issues often associated with conventional hot oil systems and mitigates the uneven heat distribution of electric cartridge heaters, leading to consistent mechanical properties in molded parts.

Operational Specifics of P140S and P140SeMold for Lean Manufacturing
The two models highlighted during the event were configured to meet the requirements of ASEAN manufacturers looking to optimize cycle times and lower energy consumption:
- REGLOPLAS P140S: Built within a compact frame, this unit integrates a high-performance pump and precision control algorithms to switch between heating and cooling circuits. It keeps the mold temperature variance within a tight range to prevent shrinkage and structural warping during precision injection molding.
- REGLOPLAS P140SeMold: Engineered specifically for variothermal (cyclic) temperature control, this unit manages rapid temperature transitions between the injection and curing phases. This capability assists in eliminating weld lines on part surfaces and improving replication accuracy for micro-structured components.

Steve Kang stated, "As factories adopt intelligent injection systems and multi-cavity molds, the repeatability of the TCU directly impacts overall yield rates. Our proprietary software separately controls sensor data and valve adjustments to maintain real-time thermal stability."

Strategic Market Approach through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Through its collaboration with local partner ARESPLUS, REGLOPLAS provides technical support to the automotive and plastics processing supply chains in Thailand. The company focuses on demonstrating the long-term efficiency of Swiss-engineered equipment by analyzing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)—including operational stability, downtime minimization, and energy savings—rather than focusing solely on initial purchasing expenditures.

Throughout the exhibition, the two companies shared optimization strategies with visitors, demonstrating multi-channel distribution configurations (multiFlow) tailored to various flow rate requirements. These presentations provided technical benchmarks for ASEAN enterprises seeking to update traditional manufacturing processes in alignment with resource efficiency and carbon-neutral production goals.
