Against this backdrop, Shinheung Industrial participated in ME2026, presenting a comprehensive portfolio of industrial gas equipment ranging from welding and cutting torches to pressure regulators and flashback arrestors.
ME2026 (Manufacturing Expo 2026) was held from June 17 to 20 at the BITEC Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Organized by RX BITEC, the event featured seven co-located industrial exhibitions, including InterPlas Thailand, InterMold Thailand, Automotive Manufacturing, Surface & Coatings, NEPCON Thailand, Assembly & Automation, and FACTECH.
Participating through the Korean Pavilion organized by the Changwon Industry Promotion Agency (CWIP), Shinheung Industrial introduced technologies developed over decades of experience in gas-powered industrial equipment.

More Than 60 Years Dedicated to Industrial Gas Technologies
Founded in 1957, Shinheung Industrial has specialized in the development and manufacturing of gas-related industrial equipment for more than six decades.
The company supplies a broad range of products used in metal fabrication and industrial construction, including gas welding torches, gas cutting torches, heating torches, flashback arrestors, pressure regulators, and related accessories.
At ME2026, the company introduced several flagship products, including the SH-102 medium-type welding torch, SH-103 large-type welding torch, SH-203 medium cutting torch, SH-205 propane cutting torch, and SH-208 straight-line cutting torch.
Heating solutions such as the SH-309 center heating torch and SH-301 propane heating torch were also displayed, highlighting applications in shipbuilding, heavy industry, structural fabrication, and maintenance operations.
Industrial Safety Takes Center Stage
In industrial gas applications, safety is often as important as operational performance.
One of the major risks in gas welding and cutting environments is flashback, a phenomenon where flames travel backward into gas supply systems, potentially causing severe accidents.
To address these challenges, Shinheung Industrial showcased its flashback arrestor lineup designed for gas and oxygen systems.
The product portfolio includes pipeline-mounted, cylinder-mounted, manifold-mounted, and torch-mounted configurations intended for various industrial operating environments.
Several models have undergone inspections by Korean gas safety authorities and comply with relevant industrial safety certification requirements.
The company explained that growing safety regulations in manufacturing and construction sectors continue to increase demand for reliable gas control technologies.
Pressure Control Systems Support Diverse Industrial Gases
In addition to cutting and welding equipment, Shinheung Industrial introduced a broad range of gas pressure regulators designed for different industrial gases.
The lineup includes regulators for oxygen, propane, acetylene, argon, carbon dioxide, LNG, and nitrogen applications.
Industrial facilities often operate under varying pressure conditions depending on process requirements. Stable pressure control is therefore essential for maintaining consistent flame performance, process quality, and operational safety.
According to the company, its regulator portfolio supports a wide spectrum of industrial environments ranging from fabrication workshops and construction sites to large-scale plant facilities.
Specialized Equipment for Heavy Industrial Processing
The exhibition also featured specialized cutting systems designed for demanding industrial applications.
Products such as medium-pressure cutting torches, extended-reach hand cutters, automatic cutting nozzles, and long-length cutting torches were presented as solutions for processing thick steel plates and large-scale metal structures.
In industries such as shipbuilding and heavy fabrication, cutting speed, flame stability, and gas efficiency can significantly influence project timelines and operational costs.
Shinheung Industrial demonstrated how its product lineup addresses these requirements through various nozzle configurations and gas-flow management technologies.
Engineering Expertise Beyond Conventional Torch Manufacturing
Although gas torches are often viewed as simple industrial tools, their design requires the integration of multiple engineering disciplines.
Precision-machined nozzles, gas flow control mechanisms, sealing technologies, heat-resistant materials, and ergonomic assembly design all contribute to product performance.
The company emphasized that continuous refinement of these technologies has allowed it to serve customers in both industrial and specialized applications worldwide.
In addition to supplying products under its own brand, Shinheung Industrial has also participated in OEM and industrial supply projects requiring compliance with stringent technical specifications.
Expanding into New Industrial Segments
During the exhibition, CEO Kim Do-gyun outlined the company’s future direction.
“For more than sixty years, Shinheung Industrial has grown alongside Korea’s industrial sector through products such as gas cutting equipment, pressure regulators, and flashback arrestors,” he said.
“Moving forward, we intend to expand our business into specialized industrial equipment, including products for shipbuilding and related sectors, while continuing to strengthen our technology base.”
Kim added that industrial users increasingly prioritize reliability, safety, and long-term operational stability when selecting equipment.
“Our goal is to continue developing products that meet these requirements while supporting industrial customers through ongoing innovation and quality improvement,” he said.
Southeast Asia Emerges as a Strategic Growth Market
Manufacturing investment across Southeast Asia continues to expand, driving demand for fabrication equipment, industrial maintenance tools, and metal-processing technologies.
As countries throughout the region increase investments in infrastructure, industrial facilities, and production capacity, requirements for gas-based cutting, welding, and heating equipment are also evolving.
Through its participation in ME2026, Shinheung Industrial sought to strengthen relationships with regional manufacturers and industrial partners while introducing technologies developed through decades of experience in heavy industry.
The company indicated that it will continue exploring opportunities in Southeast Asian markets while expanding its portfolio to meet changing industrial requirements across shipbuilding, construction, fabrication, and plant engineering sectors.
